On day five we continue on to Skyros, another 20 miles further south. Skyros is the most remote island of the group and the trip to the island is subject to weather-conditions. It is a rugged island with a small fishing-port on the western side and the capital Skyros situated on a hilly slope along the eastern shore that is really worth a visit.
Day six is a somewhat longer sailing day (approx. 25 miles), because we make our way back to Alonissos, where we arrive in the afternoon. Depending on the conditions we will have lunch either on the way or during a pit-stop at Skantzoura. In Alonissos we will visit the harbour town of Patitiri and the old town on top of the hill that dominates the island. This old village, almost completely destroyed during an earthquake in the 1960's has been completely rebuilt and restored and is well worth visisting.
During day seven we sail back to Skiathos and have a stop-over at one of the surrounding little islands to have lunch and a swim from one of the sandy beaches that are characteristic for this area.
